Confusion over Halifax One card

in Credit cards
Hi,
Please bear with me in this post as I am totally confused in what i have been offered, and wonder if anyone knew what the deal might have been when I applied (As I do not have the original info
)
A month or so ago, I applied for a Halifax credit card. This was on a 12 month's balance transfer deal (this part I am certain about) and I thought 12 months interest free spending. (I applied just before Martin wrote
'Halifax's One card was the joint top 0% card for spending on (as opposed to debt shifting) offering new customers 0% for 12 months followed by 15.9% APR. Yet go direct to Halifax's website and the 0% deal has been reduced to six months' in his email
I have just been sent a letter saying I am approved - however the period of balance transfer has increased to 15 months and 3 months on purchases.
Of course I cannot use the 3 months on purchases as if I keep the interest free period for 15 months, I will pay interest on my purchases for 12 months. (I assume I am correct in that thought)
They are saying the transfer fee is 3% and not capped (not sure if this is correct)
All the fees on the sheet for me to sign are in dollars - yes dollars (they have used the dollar symbol instead of the pound symbol) If I incur any of these fees I would love to know what they will charge!!
The details sent out to me (I am due to get the card this week, I guess) are different from the original info.
Am I right to just accept the 15 months interest free?
Put the amounts in dollars down to a human error, as they will be able to charge all amounts in pounds anyway?
Accept the 3% un-capped fee as this would be the amount anyway, as it has been 3% for a long time?
Any advice would be gratefully received.

Hi,
No idea about the extra text - it seems to happen on vb forums quite a bitNever seen it on any other sort of forum - any my PC is clean
Re the dollars - this was on the paperwork sent to me by the Halifax. Everything was in Dollars, including the summary box etc.
All very strange.....0 -
I would personally phone the halifax as I've been with them 10 1/2 years and never had anything in dollars posted out to me ...either that or take it into a local branch...just to be on the safe side....good luck0
