Generic PnP Monitor Disabled

Second query from me today!
I am getting a Device Manager alert on my new Windows 8 laptop (I say new..I've had it a few months now).
The message is that the Generic PnP Monitor is disabled.
What is this and do I need to do anything?! The laptop seems to run fine.

That is an error PNP Monitor is a standalone monitor .
Try disabling the device in device manager .0
