What time do direct debits leave account?

Just curious whether anyone actually know the time in which DDs leave a bank account?
I thought it was first thing but now I'm not so sure.

My bank does it around 2am, when the systems update, there is also a second collection at 2.30pm so customers don't get charges for missing D/DVirtual sealed pot 2019 member #6 :j

Even though DD's are supposed to go out on a specific date each month, there are times when there is a slight delay in the DD been collected, some of mine vary by one day occasionally, mainly with sky, it's always later, never earlier.

My DD's with Barclays are taken a couple of hours after midnight. Cannot tell exactly when (too sleepy to check). However if they are due to be collected on a weekend or bank holiday, they will be taken on the working day after that day. Never ever earlier.SPC 08 - #452 - £415

Hi im not sure but before sometimes if its due on a Tuesday it goes out on the Wednesday.
If due on a Thursday it went out on Friday.
Not sure if this is true or why may be they do a load at once ?0 -
