Hi there i am looking for some advice. This evening I receieved text messages from:
All saying that they have received my loan application. Emails texts were all sent to me within a 30minute period. I have not applied for any loans or given my details on 3rd party sites nor applied for credit in the last 9 months (and even at that was my mortgage).
I have checked equifax in a panic and no searches on my credit file, although I intend on calling them tomorrow.
Has someone sold on my details? How do I put a stop to this?

Possible, but they reference my first and middle names!0

Sounds like a family member or "friend" is trying to take out a loan in your name.
If this turns out to be the case, then you can get a CIFAS fraud marker placed on your name to stop them being sucessful.0

This happened to me. I actually got the application papers sent to me.
They had my name, address, phone number but wrong date of birth. Oh and no one would ever get a loan in my name as I have very very bad credit anyway. I was told to report it to Action Fraud, which I did. Nothing more happened.0
