Tips for parking in scarborough

I am going to a wedding in scarborough for weekend of 6th June. I have heard that scarborough centre doesn't have lots a car parking spaces n that it is expensive.

Does anyone have any tips of places to park that are free or low cost prefable near the Grand Hotel ?

The Palm court hotel parking is about a tenner per day or free if you're a guest there.
Just around the corner from the Grand, on the roundabout on Vernon rd

If you dont mind a walk and are not going to use the car except to get to Scarborough and back, I park on Weaponess Valley Road and just walk down Valley Road to the Grand. Its free there.

As a possible alternative, again if you will not be using the car through the weekend, park at Seamer railway station and catch a train to Scarborough. Less of a walk and I think the parking at Seamer is free.

Palm court hotel would be your best bet I think. Depends what time of day when you arrive as to whether or not you'll have to wait to get in the car park or not. Can be busy there and at Brunswick, peak times.
