Im a bit upset and a little angry. We moved into our house in July and noticed the house didnt have cavity wall insulation (well couldnt see the drill pattern). Negotiate hard you can get cavity wall at a reasonable figure, most companies start high and will come down if you pressure them.
Check you have a cavity behind the front cladding, often builders used a single block skin and put the shiplap outside, try drilling a hole through from inside and check for the cavity, most firms will use a borescope to check for you.
