Controlaccount Plc

Hi,
New to the forum and am a bit into the process. I got a NtK from Euro Car Parks (no ticket on the day) and ignored it. It's now been passed to Control Account PLC saying I must pay £130. The car park was in England.
Has anyone got any advice?

Any help would be great. My 14 days runs out on the 2nd May!

14 days for what? All they'll do is send you another stupid begging letter. Keep on ignoring.

You should not have ignored it, but what's done is done, do not contact debt collectors they are powerless leeches.
All other advice is in the newbies thread.

Thanks both. I'll check out the other thread.

I've looked at the thread and it is saying that I can still go down the POPLA route. I've got the letter template, but on the back of the NtK it says that appeals should be made within 28 days. Is it safe to assume that they will still look at it and then in the mean time just ignore anything else from Controlaccount?

I appreciate that you guys have probably answered similar questions a million times, so thanks again in advance.

You could appeal to the PPC (not the debt collector); their 28 days is pretty standard across most PPCs (although has no legal status), but don't expect them to roll over and send you a POPLA code. I'd say they will refuse (let me know if they meekly return a code to you, and I'll eat my leg!).

Without the code you can do nothing other than either pay the debt collector (which clearly you don't want to do, otherwise why post here?) or continue to ignore, as you're doing now. The only things not to ignore are LBCCC/LBA or MCOL (don't ask - check the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #2) which can only come from the PPC or the landowner.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
