ok im sure u have typed that file name wrong. i cant find any info on it.
also it might be a physcial problem with your hard drive. safest thing to do is to do a drivefitness test.
which basically tells you if ur hard drive is likely to fail in the next few months.
u can download something called hiren's boot CD.
u can download this off torrent sites and burn it to a CD and use IBM drive fitness test to tell u if there is anything wrong with your hard drive.
also there is a program called speedfan go to that link and click "SpeedFan 4.32" and download and install and that will give u a brief description of whats wrong if anything. if not then do a chkdisk within windows. and go frfom there..0 -
move that mfu_uk.exe file temporarily to c: then scan
if you still have problems
start, run, chkdsk d: /FEver get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
i doubt u can move the file if it gets stuck on startup but give it a go.
and i dont think its the file causing the problem. it mgiht be but i doubt it.0 -
Thanks for ur replies ive tried putting chkdsk d: /F into the run and it says this file is a FAT32 whatever that is. I scaned again same problem0

So did you try moving this file as suggested? May be malware. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

yes came up as a FAT32 file0

are you 100% sure thats the file name???
even if that was a virus or anything else, it would be very unlikely that would cause such problems, run some hard drive scans through hirens boot CD as suguested to check if ur hard drive is likely to fail0
