Lindos or pefkos

Booked flights for Rhodes in june cannot make our mind up where to stay we have booked a hotel in between lindos and pefkos called lindos sun, can cancel 24 hours before if we need to. reviews are decent just worried theres not much round it. Any recommendations for hotels or apartments in either lindos or pefkos prefably with pool.

Pefkos would be my preference, following 2 weeks there last summer. Indeed, booked again for the same place this year (and I've never done that before!).


It's only 2* self-catering (you mentioned you'd booked a hotel), but it's an absolute gem of a place and you're spoilt for choice with restaurants.


I'd rather not name it on here (wouldn't want it to get too popular!) but if 2* SC would do let me know and I'll PM you the name.

Have stayed at Lindos Sun - it is alright but remote. Have also self catered in both Lindos and Pefkos and prefer Pefkos. Great choice of bars and restaurants and a very nice atmosphere.


If you decide on SC option in Pefkos then look at Dimitri's Apartments. It's on the hill with great views but a lovely place..

We stayed in Pefkos and then visited Lindos a couple of times. Glad we did as Lindos got very busy where Pefkos had a nice laid back atmosphere with enough to do, places to eat and drink and nice beaches without the buzz and crowds of Lindos.

Is that now the pefkos blue apts, been looking at them they look good, how long to walk into town and beech.

yes it is.

About 10 mins downhill into town. Very quick and cheap taxi back up.....

Pefkos is a flat (ish) purpose built resport, Lindos is more authentically greek and more hilly, most apartments are up the steep hill. Lindos gets really hot and clammy in the high season as the streets are narrow but this is very characterful. I've stayed in both but my preference is for Pefkos, it has less character but the beach is less crowded, the restaurants are better and Lindos is only a taxi ride away.

Stay in Pefkos (or Lardos) and just visit Lindos !!

Got married in Lindos, loved it. I love the feel of the village.

Not sure if your there with kids, but it is a bit restrictive for them as limited stuff for them to do.

Pefkos I haven't stayed in, but have visited on a few occassions, I have saw it changing. I feel Lindos is more relaxed and laid-back.

We stayed in between Lardos and Pefkos, and it was a nice walk into the town.

Lindos accommodation in the main area doesn't have pools though, so you'd have to be up towards the back of the town (away from the acropolis) to have accommodation with pools.
