Scotland: Offer accepted 10 days ago, house not showing as SSTCM/Sold

Had our offer accepted 10 days ago.
House is still for sale on rightmove, agents are Countrywide Scotland.
We did question the agents who said they do not update them as SSTCM/SOLD until missives are signed. I know a lot of agents were it is changed as soon as they have accepted an offer.
Thinking of calling the agents and asking for a viewing.....just to see what they say! Would like to think they would tell me 'oh that one is sold'
I guess it does make sense in a way that the agents can take details of anyone who calls up and let them know if the sale falls through. I would like to think they wouldnt arrange anyone else to actually view it though.....however anything goes til missives are signed so just need to keep fingers crossed.
Dont really know what my question is....just something else to stress about as well as the sale of our house/our buyers mortgage/our mortgage..... argh!

I'd be tempted to check if you're being messed around by having someone call and ask for a viewing. If they say it's under offer/sold and take details in case things change, great - otherwise the agent/vendor might be planning on turning you over if they get a better offer."You did not pull yourself up by your bootstraps. You were lucky enough to come of age at a time when housing was cheap, welfare was generous, and inflation was high enough to wipe out any debts you acquired. I’m pleased for you, but please stop being so unbearably smug about it."0

It's not really anything goes until the missives are signed. The vendor has accepted your offer. To accept another offer from someone else would involve the vendor finding a new solicitor at the very least because their current solicitor wouldn't legally be allowed to accept another offer.0

Think I will have a friend call for a viewing tomorrow!0

Many agents update listings to "under offer" once the written offer has been received, but maybe some don't. It would be bad practice for an agent to allow further viewings after an accepted offer but there is no harm calling the agent to try and book one and see what happens. I know from recently looking at properties in Scotland that although I was allowed to view those where an offer had been made but not accepted, I was not allowed to view those where an offer had been accepted, and this happened at least 4 times with different agents.0

I accepted an offer on my house 5 weeks ago and the missives were just signed today, the house went under offer right away though and I then received 3 calls from other people who had viewed offering to offer so to speak.but we were more than happy with the offer we accepted.
The agent should take the details of anyone else calling though *just in case*.
As said I would have had to change solicitor0 -

I was going to say this as well; I can understand why they don't update the listing to 'sold' but normally I've noticed houses in my area changing to 'under offer' for a few months and then either updated to sold or the listing disappears completely.0 -
