    Start menu > run

Type "cmd" to bring up a command window, then type ipconfig.
    You will see:

IPv4 Address = Your network IP (usually 192.168.?.?)

    this brings up 192.168.0.1

    so I have 3 then ?

reason - buying a TV shortly and in the manual part of the set up for something, it asked for IP address

"what's written on an old post it note has no relevance."

but where would I have got it from ?

only the 192 and the 94 are relevant then ?

get the tv, and plug it in, the router will most likely just assign one (a local 192) to the tv automatically so you don't have to worry about any numbers

Your routers address is probably 192.168.0.1 (default gateway from ipconfig)
Your computers local address is 192.168.0.x
Your tv will probably be 192.168.0.x+1
x depends on how many gadgets you have attached to the router.

Your internet address today is the 94.13.74.81, tommorow it could be something else, when you wrote the post it or last rebooted the router, it probably was something else.

freeview play compatible tv's (when they are released) may prove a better investment if you're planning to use smart features for catchup, and smart tv's without a built-in microphone are less invasive.
