Nepal disaster and Facebook

It was good of Martin to mention the DEC appeal for Nepal in this week's email...

My Facebook page bears an announcement that donations made through a special link will be matched by a donation from Facebook. Has anyone checked the small print to verify whether this really is a way to make every penny go further, or is there some downside?

Come to that, are there any other donation-matching deals from other businesses? If so, it would be good to know how they compare so that our donations can make as much difference as possible.

Why there should be a small print? Most companies do that anyway and FB is known for their support for such issues.

It goes to Medical Corps I believe - so you can't choose the charity. That might be an issue for some so it is up to individual.
My company has a matching programme but for employees only.
