We once rented a house only to discover it full of the landlords furniture. It took several months and threats of dumping it before he shifted it.
In another place the loft was half full of the LL's stuff and he wanted access at Christmas when we weren't even in the country.
I can fully understand people not wanting to pay for storage but it should at least be clear from the outset.0 -

Without getting into too much debate or indeed divulging the contents of my garage on an open forum,it is quite reasonable to store a small scaffold,ladders,paint,tiles,carpet cleaner,vacuum etc
edited to add suffice to say that my garage is used solely for the purpose of my business needs and is all accounted for.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

I think I live in a rogue area. The house opposite is rented out, garage not included. The LL turns up frequently without warning and spreads all his bits across the drive. The family parks their car on the road at all times so I guess the drive is either also not included or they don't want to keep moving it.0
