Full mortgage application went in on friday through broker.
We supplied all our ID/bank statements/payslips/accounts/proof of deposit etc.
Broker has said Coventry BS may request a P60 (think thats an end of tax year statement?) Should I automatically get one since it is the end of tax year, I didnt get one but think I usually do each year. Or is this something I can simply request from my employer?
Been with my employer for over 10 yrs now.
Thanks!

You should always automatically get a P60 from your employer every year and should keep these safe.
It often takes some weeks to come through - I got mine just this morning.0 -
Your employer has until 31/5 to supply it.No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Any employer is required to provide a P60 for the previous tax year to any PAYE employee by end of May (most do it with April payslip / many will do it 'on request').Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I'm in the exact same situation, no P60 for 14-15 yet so I can't provide it to my lender
I contacted my lender and explained: they asked for last year's P60 and said they'd need to see this year's before completion. I'm expecting mine hopefully this week with my April payslip, but I've made my boss aware that I need it so he'll give me it immediately when it arrives (whereas normally he'd probably give us it with the next payslip)
It's also handy if you have the full tax year worth of payslips, as that shows essentially the same thing: particularly if your salary has changed significantly since April 2014, making your previous P60 outdated
Talk to your lender, but it should be fine"You did not pull yourself up by your bootstraps. You were lucky enough to come of age at a time when housing was cheap, welfare was generous, and inflation was high enough to wipe out any debts you acquired. I’m pleased for you, but please stop being so unbearably smug about it."0 -
I do have my previous P60 for April 2013 - April 2014, as well as all my monthly payslips for the full year to date - pay is constant every month.
Employer says it will be end of May til we get them.0 -
If you get stuck then your last payslip (March 2015) will confirm your gross income for the year and total tax paid.
Hope that helps."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -
Definitely contact the lender than, and offer them last year's P60 and 12 months payslips. They should be getting in touch with your employer for a reference anyway, but if you can get a letter from your employer stating current salary, salary and tax paid last year etc then that may help.
Talk to your lender, though - you're certainly not the first person to buy a house in April-May"You did not pull yourself up by your bootstraps. You were lucky enough to come of age at a time when housing was cheap, welfare was generous, and inflation was high enough to wipe out any debts you acquired. I’m pleased for you, but please stop being so unbearably smug about it."0 -
Bit baffled why your broker is submitting the case without having the P60 available.I am a Mortgage Broker

Our policy is to get everything in before we submit the case to any lender. That way there are no nasty surprises and no messing around during the application process.I am a Mortgage Broker
