Afternoon tea 8th August (quick cuppa?)

It is Wednesday afternoon. The time we usually get together for afternoon tea. We missed it last week and I'm busy again this afternoon...
but I do have a short time to spare and sit downwith a nice cuppa. I'll put plenty of milk in so that I can drink it quickly.
Please pop in and say hello. Share your news. Give us your money saving tips. Or just sit a while and meet some new friends. Feel free to stay as long as you like.
Has anyone heard from Mike St Helens? He hasn't dropped in for afternoon tea for a few weeks.
I'll pour the tea.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in. :D

Hi CS, how are you? I'm stuck in DIY hell today, so I will be popping in and out whenever I can escape.....lol!

Money saving tip - buy things from Argos, then when they inevitably mess up your order or delivery, ask for compensation - we have currently got free delivery and £30 refund, but I haven't finished with them yet - the shed has FINALLY arrived today.....minus the windows.....

    Hi :D

This is a new one for me. Haven't seen this thread before. Not sure about a cuppa, I'm only just sorting out my lunch and really looking forward to it. It has been ages since breakfast.

Will pop back later and see if you have had a good session. Enjoy your break.

Nothing happening here have to ring the hospital to see how the ex is doing hopefully he is having his last operation - touch wood! And work to look forward to this evening :( I need some fun! Sorry sound very selfish there!
  • Hi Snaggles - I over paid the standing order on my Argos card by mistake. I am now in credit but can't think of anything I want to buy from them. I expect it'll come in handy when I need a birthday present for someone.

I'm taking DD to Inflatable Fun this afternoon. It's at the local swimming pool. They have a huge inflatable obstacle course in the water, and water slides. The kids love it and it is such good value. It is £1.90 for 2 hours. :D
We are meeting some of her friend there. The girls will have a great time in the pool and we mums will take some cans of pop and sit and have a nice relaxing chat in the spectator area for a couple of hours. Then hopefully we will take our daughters home clean and exhausted and begging for an early night.

One cuppa with skimmed milk heading your way. I guess you don't want a shortbread with it...so I'll eat yours. :D

Welcome Pam. Nice to meet you. It's a pity I have to dash off today and didn't get chance to get to know you. But I am here most Wednesday afternoons having tea and a chat, and I'm sure you will meet some lovely new friends here today. If you are still here when I get back from Inflatable Fun, I'll see you then. Enjoy your lunch.
