Direct Debit from Aqua CC. Can't find Sort Code/Account Number

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to set up a direct debit for car insurance from my Aqua Credit Card, but I can't find a Sort Code or an Account Number anywhere on the website.

Any ideas?

You can't set up a direct debit on a credit card.

I did it over the phone last night and the lady I was speaking to accepted the Credit Card number, confirmed it was a Credit Card with me and then seemed to move on. She then asked for Sort Code/Account Number and I accidentally/stupidly gave her numbers for paying the Credit Card account. She accepted all this and moved on, so I was just wondering what was going to happen and whether I needed to change it.

I guess I'll have to change it to a current account instead, although I'm sure I've heard of people having Direct Debits on Credit Cards before.

Perhaps you're confusing direct debits with continuous payment authorities (CPAs)?
