Best thing to apply for?

After gradually getting my credit status into a fair condition. What would be the best thing to apply for to try and help my improving credit status. I know Im not going to be accepted for a mortgage or loan, but what about a credit card, catalogue, or mobile phone contract.
I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.

What negatives (if any) do you still have on your credit files?
Credit cards are usually a good bet as you can build up a credit history without it costing you anything to do so. That is if you pay the full balance each statement.
If you have negatives on your credit file then you may need to look at subprime credit card providers.
With phone contracts the sim only rolling contracts are usually easiest to get.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
