Hi Guys,
HELP, HELP, HELP!! We're THIS close to the valuation being booked, but it cant be done so until I have provided statements to show the zero balance on my loan/credit cards.
To cut a long story short, they have only just been paid off and the statement that will show these changes isn't due for another 2-3 weeks.
Is there ANY WAY known to man I can speed up this process?!
I have contacted the credit card companies and of course there is nothing they can do as they are computer generated and unfortunately the print outs from online do not include my name and address!
Any help would be greatly appreciated to get this sorted!
*deep breath*

If statements are the requirement there's little else you can do but wait.0

Crap! I so didn't want that to be the answer!
Thanks Thrugelmir.
I think my broker is fed up with me but out of courtesy should I be letting anyone know?
By that time it would have been 5-6 weeks (just over) since we put the offer in on the house and nothing else has yet been booked.0 -
Hadn't even thought of this - do all lenders require the zero balance statements before booking valuation?0
-
I'm not sure starfish, but it is set something ours have requested.
Without it they won't book the valuation meaning we have to wait 2-3 weeks before the statement is generated/gets to us before we can move on0 -
Who is the lender ? The options vary dramatically between them !Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Natwest. We are literally THIS close. So frustrating!0

Ask your lender if they'll accept the following
-Your last card statement
- A bank statement showing that you have paid the full amount of the last card statement
Alternatively, ask the credit card company to write you a letter confirming balance is clear (they can do that if you complain loudly enough or ask sweetly enough)0 -
Travelbughaopy that's what I've tried today, but haven't heard back from my MA yet. Problem being is, one of the online statements does have my address/name details. Ridiculous!
I did call one of them today, but maybe I need to try again haha.0 -
We've just put a case through RBS (sister ship for Natwest - near identical processes), and we do quite a bit with them, with some considerable consolidation and no requirement for 'zero statements' and certainly not ahead of valuation, so I assume you are a FTB clearing from a different source, in which case I can fully understand where they are coming from ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. I am using a broker and yes, I am a first time buyer. It's not an easy process nor quick that's for sure.
I completely understand the reason for it, it's just so frustrating that I can't get hold of the statements until a few weeks.
Such a shame they won't take a print out of the online balance.0
