Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
    Hi All

Mega busy day, & not for all the good reasons. Bad planning Im afraid.

Dawn - Hope the truck didnt cost too much??
Shortie - You sound very organised for the week ahead. Shame the forum is blocked from work.
PollyP - Love all the little hands and feet print things. I have 2 mugs with 18 day old baby footprints on from son, now I look at them in awe. So precious. Although, I do draw the line at bronze stomach imprints for pregnancies, sorry if anyone has had this done, or thinks its ace.
Hannah - Im always saving things from the bin. In fairness my son now cuts open his toothpaste tubes without being asked. So its good to train your family :) Sorry to hear about your accident.
January - Well done on your cleaning day.
JoJo - Another netflix fan here. Im currently watching Bloodline which I highly recommend if you need inspiration.
Maria - Steady! This is a PG rated forum you know....
Ally - That is epic news about your impending DF status! So pleased for you.
Twiggy - Water seems to be the one thing we never have trouble with. I wonder why yours is so high?
Foxgloves - Have a good night out.

Well today started well, I left early, but some how the fact I have the new panniers seduced me into buying a crazy amount of shopping. Well, that and the lower prices in the big supermarket. I managed to get £6.75 off in coupons, all found yesterday or over the weekend. Got 5 x nectar points on the balance before coupons too, so thats good. Took off another £2.50 in nectar points too, so it really was a good economical shop. However, it then took me 30 mins to do bag jenga enough to pack my bike and go. So I was late getting to work which meant I worked like a dog all day. Then got home for the 2nd shift! Ah well, thems the breaks.
Have finally managed to get a tradesman set up for some work needed at the flat we let. Its been in dire need of doing for ages now, but trying to find a good person is quite hard if they are to have time for your job. Will get them to quote on that soon.
Opened all the mail as soon as I got in, filed or recycling binned everything that needed it. Have reconcilled my reciepts for both accounts. And made sure all of todays reciepts/general paper are out of my wallet & ready for checking off tommorows banking.
Made spag bol for sons tea and ours for later. Did a quick check to see if the CB had gone into the account it does, but not yet.
Have a load of work laundry on now, and will put up the drying rack rather than tumble it.
    Right, well, that was Monday!

FVD - If you are reading, that made me laugh about your ideas of who we all look like. Flattering comparisons in the past have included Neve Campbell & Kate Winslet (yep they so look the same dont they :) & not so much, Caroline Quentin, although the person did hastily add its due to my sense of humour more than appearance :)

    Evening all

An NSD, thanks to not taking my purse to work

    I also....

    - Checked my bank account (I do this every weekday anyway) and thank goodness I did as there was a fraudulent transaction sat waiting in my pending transactions list - apparently this morning I bought boat bits from America lol. All sorted and a new card is being sent to me
    - I emailed my Dad about helping him go through his budgets. He's good at them but he absolutely detests his job but feels like he has to wait a year to retire due to shares, etc, etc and needing them to pay off the mortgage. I don't like to see him so unhappy (but putting on a fake smile to hide it) so I've told him I want to go round and go through them with him to see if there is anybway we can work things so that he can retire earlier. Two pairs of eyes might be better than one?
    - I chase up on a missing refund cheque. The chap is going to check with the accounts department do hopefully that'll turn up soon

    Have a good evening all

Congratulations on imminently paying off your last debt Allydowd :T It was some time ago I did this, but still remember it! I felt quite odd and disoriented to start with - but I soon got over it!
  • Shortie - thank goodness you checked your bank!
Bob - I don't like the bronze ones but am toying with the idea of plaster of Paris over my belly next pregnancy :D
DH thinks this absolutely gross obviously! But next baby will most likely be my last and that makes me sad so tough, he'll have to be grossed out!

The day was going so well, then about an hour ago, I heard rain (was actually hail stones) on the roof of the conservatory so I dashed out to bring in my washing, as I was half done, I've tripped and fell over a square plastic tub which has plants in and its broken and I've cut my legs in various places :(

Ouch :o hope you're ok and not feeling too sore
