Hi
I misread this as being stripped, washed and on the line, Kinky I thought, a bit wild for a monday morning. Then reread and was quite disappointed!
Go Ziggy, tell them boys, brothers and sons often need direction.
Having a good day here, another NSD, but am stacking up future expenses which will keep me poor in the days ahead.
Keep smiling everyone.

Afternoon DFW-Ninjas,
Well, life goes on, and the debt goes down!
Just a short list today. The heating's on, but it is snowing!
After today's turn of events it's possible I could be debt free in a month's time. :T
The List:
:starmod: Two free home haircuts. I was starting to resemble a Shetland Sheepdog.
:starmod: Re-shape own eyebrows, look like Norman Lamont.
:starmod: Post two story tapes OH sold on eBay. £4.50 profit.
:starmod: Took myself on a free 5 mile run this morning while the sun was still out.
:starmod: Did RoyalMail Surveys.
:starmod: Checked bank balance and found that Tax Credits had paid us £388 owing to us since October 2014 following another one of their monumental c*&k ups! Paid an extra £375 off the debt. :j:j:j
:starmod: Reduced credit card limit and updated signature.
:starmod: Meals from stores.
:starmod: Eat brambles/blackberries foraged last year.
:starmod: Free Vassily meerkat toy came having used CompareTheMeerkat for insurance purchase. Would raise £1 on eBay but I'm gonna keep him!
That's all for now. Good luck on your quests, Ninjas.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -

Trying to decide exactly how much extra to pay off The Debt in the light of this. :j:j:j If my signature below now reads less than £650 I've decided!
WOW that's fantasic Allydowd!Following :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -
I cut my own hair too but I still resemble a sheepdog! My hair is bum length and there's lots of it. Still, cutting it is very easy.Started April 2015: CC Debt - £5620 :eek:
DFW hoping to start saving as soon as debt is cleared

The day was going so well, then about an hour ago, I heard rain (was actually hail stones) on the roof of the conservatory so I dashed out to bring in my washing, as I was half done, I've tripped and fell over a square plastic tub which has plants in and its broken and I've cut my legs in various places
Oh no! Sorry to hear that.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
Afternoon all. I haven't had time to catch up on the weekend's post but I hope you're all ok, and hugs to ziggy.
Today I have/will:-
* Check banks
* Do washing up (this is MSE as OH seems to repeatedly run the hot tap!)
* Continue using up free foundation sample
* Take lunch to work
* Call water company to sort out DD amount - unfortunately needs to go up as it's in debit at the moment
* Dinner from stores
* Make cottage pie for dinner tomorrow night
* Dye hair at home
* Leave hair to dry naturally
That's everything I can think off for today - don't have time for SBs or OnePoll!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
Current debt - £5,555.00
Total paid off - £10,045.89 (64% paid off)0 -
Quick post, then must nip in the bath & scrub up for a night out.
Today's money saving efforts:
*Did the laundry overnight on cheap tariff. All nicely line dried in the sunshine.
*Bought 3 good -sized strawberry plants on the market for £1 each. A local garden centre was selling them for.....£2.79 yesterday....for 1 plant, which is just a p*ss-take if you ask me!
*Wilko's selling off their packs of 3 strawberry roots for 10p a pack. Bought 4 packs. Have got them soaking in water. They look too dead to do anything, but at a total outlay of 40p, I figured that even rescuing a single plant, I'd be up on the deal.
*Free coffees at Waitrose & free 'Guardian'.
*Reconciled April's budget & did our budget for May. A bit tight in places, but forewarned is forarmed with these things.
*Uploaded energy readings onto Co-op Energy website.
Must get a shift on if I'm to look decent for going out.
Oh.....just to add...Ally...that debt is so close to being paid off you can smell it!! What's next? I'm guessing starting to build an emergency fund. I can still remember the feeling when I paid off the very last bit of debt. You can't beat it! I look forward to you posting that it has finally gone.

I haven't a clue exactly what our next step is going to be, yet. I think we're going to need to practice staying out of debt for a bit and make a plan. I started tackling the debt in 2006, I think, gonna take a while for it to sink in!
The thought of being debt-free is scaring me a bit. LOL. :eek:Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0 -
PS Yes Bob, mum is aware I've had a heart attack (we had her to stay for a week when I first came home - to make things easier for me) but one minute I'm doing too much and the next I'm not doing enough and shouldn't feel like this after all it's been a year - today is a new day and it's mine
Ziggy - So pleased you feel brighter today. You have a great positive way of thinking, but as everyone else has already said, feel free to rant. Sounds a complex situation for you to be in." Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
