I love card crafting. I like to recycle as much as possible. I use a rotary trimmer quite a lot.
I got one from Lidl, last year. I was not 100% happy with it but it did the job. It has unfortunately broken and I want to buy a new one. I would like recommendations, please. I would like one which does differring cuts, i.e. straight/wavy etc. I want one that is quite robust, too.
I thought that perhaps someone could give me some advice.

Morning, I too enjoy paper crafts, mainly card making.
I use an x cut paper guillotine. It is the smaller size so won't cut A4 paper lengthways but is good for all my needs. It is only a straight cut but never needs new blades or sharpening like a rotary cutter. I also have an older Fiskars paper trimmer but the cost of the replacement cutting blades made this a no no for me. £5.00 ish for 2 blades and paper blunts them really quickly. Hope this helps but can't advise about wavy line cutters as I suspect they wil always be rotary.
I too used to make my cards out of free stuff but gradually I have built up my card making supplies and my craft space now resembles a craft shop only messier. I can occupy my winter days quite happily with a radio on in the background. Do you have a die cutting machine? I love my Big Shot, it opens up such lovely patterns for card making makes shopping for card supplies even more addictive.
Any more craft related stuff please get in touch.

Hi,I think it would have to be a rotary type of trimmer if I want different cuts.
I too have a big shot. I like it, lots.
My craft room sounds similar to yours. When I tidy up, I can't seem to find things!
