NPower...yah boo sucks!!!

Just got me electricity bill...twice the amount it was for the eqivalent quarter last year and and half as much again as the previous quarter this year!

Just phoned NPower and they say it is a 'catch-up' bill cos they haven't actually read the meter for 18 months...they have just been estimates recently.

Seems odd to me...whenever I've had an estimated bill before they have always over-estimated it. Also, how come they can go for 18 months without actually reading the meter properly...the thing is outside so they have no probs with access?

Well, that's blown me financial budget for this month and I was doing sooo well too! icon8.gif

*Note to self - Must read bill more carefully and check readings in future!*

Bummer! Estimates can cause real problems sometimes.

Sorry Allexie, can't do anything to help with your bill......but sending sympathetic thoughts your way anyway. :)

Your bill will have the estimated reading on it. Check this against your actual reading. You then need to phone the correct reading through to your supplier.

Its a trick of lazy suppliers to ramp up the bills to the point where you simply must read the meter for them. There is a code of practice that says they must read the meter at least every 2 years but some just try to get you to do it.
