Single parent discrimination

If it self catering then as a general rule, the price of the accommodation will usually be per room, regardless of whether or not there are 2 people or 4 people.
If the accomm includes some form of food then you will pay a per person price. Some hotels will charge half price for kids, some will do one child free, 2nd half price etc and some will not offer any discount at all.
How the tour operator / travel agent chooses to market that to you is up to them. For example Thomas Cook / Thomsons etc will usually say you have a 'free child place' but then whack on an under-occupancy supplement which basically covers the cost of the flight and allows the lead in price to look more appealing. Online travel agents such as Low Cost, On the Beach, Travel Republic etc will take the overall hotel cost and divide it by the number or adults and put the child price as 0. (But usually if you do a price check for just two adults it will be cheaper than 2 adults and 2 'free' children). Flights will be charged per person.
It's also worth bearing in mind that a 'child' in most hotels is anyone under the age of 12, so if you are travelling with children over that age then they would be classed as an adult anyway. If you're staying self catering then a child can be up to 16 years old in some properties.Lea

where is the discrimination?
No one is saying you can't go just that you are expected to pay the market rate.
It's like saying single room supplements are discrimating against single people.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

it's called under room occupancy, the room you are booking can accomodate 4 people, why would they make it cheaper for a family of 3 when they can sell to a family of 4! It's the same if you were a family of 5 or 7!
Not discrimination, they are a savvy business.Plan: [STRIKE]Finish off paying the remainder of my debts[/STRIKE].

Flights cost the same for adults and children on most charter flights and the room will cost the smae whether you have 2 adults and 1 or children or 1 adult and 2 children.
I don't see where the discrimination comes in...0
