Evening team....
Am a budding investor but sadly, rather clueless.
Have been thinking about retirement ( am nearly 40 and only recently debt free so a late starter.)
So far, my vast portfolio consists of a grands worth of tesco shares, 3000 in a vls80, 300 quid in funding circle and 8000 in my current account doing nothing.
To be honest, I don't have the patience to open lots of current accounts and set up direct debits for the interest, I'd rather just dump my few quid somewhere and check back every few years to have a look!
I don't want my current account to fall between four or five grand as I'm a sub contractor, so I currently have three or four grand to dump somewhere...
Shall I just drop it into my vls80?
To add.... I will not understand anything even vaguely complicated!
Any advice appreciated...

I would just drop it in your vls80. It'll get automatically rebalanced.0

Depends on timescales. Shares / funds generally 5 years plus. Also depends on your other finances eg income, mortgage debts, pensiin etc.
Quick answer; get rid of your tesco and put that into your vls.
With your spare cash either high interest account (santander) or stick it in with your vls. Or bit of both.Left is never right but I always am.0
