Hi Everyone.
Iv recently been in a position to pay off all of my debt and some debts be over 6 year old, so hoping my credit will improve which it has gradually but only on my experian account.
there is also a bank account from Natwest that never had an overdraft or credit facility is this supposed to be there as it was never a credit arrangement on the account?
Also i had a debt of 350 that was capital one and the other month totally disappeared off all files, then this Friday i received a letter from Lowell saying they had purchased the debt ...so i paid it in full the same day,my concern is now will Lowell re add the debt even though its paid off in full the same day they contacted me?
iv checked my experian file and this tells me i have GOOD credit.
On my noddle account my credit score is 1/5
And my Equifax it is VERY POOR.
On my noddle and equifax reports there are 2 mistakes which i have wrote to the lenders/creditors/reference agencies and asked them to update the file, I was just wondering if anyone had similar experiences, and what approach they had taken to have there files updated?
im looking to attempt to get a mortgage at some point in the next year so would like to get all three up to date before submitting an application although i can see some of the creditors have not updated even when the full outstanding balance has been paid.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

The scores are works of fiction that change with the passing of the seasons and the changing of the tides. Ignore them.
Concentrate only on making sure the information is correct.0 -
And if the information is incorrect? Contact the lenders and the agencies? And ask them to update?0

Newer bank accounts are generally reported even if you don't have an overdraft facility.
The capital one/lowell account, if the default was not 6 years old then, lowell may well re add the entry in their name, which should show the original default date, and the fact that the debt has been satisfied.
The mistakes - depends what they are. Usually best to start by contacting the lender reporting the account and pointing out the mistake.
In terms of accounts that have not yet been updated. It can take a month for updates to show, so if you settled in full more than a month ago and they have not yet been updated it is reasonable to chase. Just be aware the noddle report is only updated monthly, so lenders could have updated callcredit but it not show on your current month noddle report.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thanks tixy very helpful,do most mortgage brokers for instance check each file or will they have a prefered reference agencie in which they use?
Thanks0 -
I believe most mortgage lenders are likely to check 2 or 3 of the agencies.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
