Approx 260k is in s and s isas and the 44k in cash isas.

I have considered switching the cash isas to s and s.

If I pay an ifa up front are there not then ongoing annual payments to make?

Of the lloyds shares I have held many from since pre meltdown times not sure how this would impact cgt as the share price was a lot higher then but of course due to rights issues etc I now have a lot more shares.

Not unless you agree to it and want an ongoing service. If you make it clear that you only want setup advice and nothing further, you can certainly arrange that.

There's so much money involved; pay an accountant to get it right for you.

Not at all relevant, but how does one go about amassing such sums of money while working normal job ? Any pointers ?
