Water softener and drinking tap

Just installed a water softener system and realised too late that it may not be the best water for drinking
IS there a simple under sink filter system I can use to remove the sodium? Also, I don't want to drill another hole in my granite worktop for a drinking water tap so can I use a 3 way type tap (just had a brief look and they are expensive!)
am i missing a simple solution?
Thanks!

You need to run a separate feed to your kitchen sink for drinking water also any outside taps should also not be fed from the softener.0

Is it really worth it to remove 0.04g per litre? You will also be removing fluoride from your water and calcium, all of which are important for our health.0

In my limited research I thought drinking softener water was fine except for pets or if you're pregnant.
We don't have a separate feed and I think it tastes nicer than our unsoftener water.0 -
