Trustee saving accounts - please help.

My father in law has just my husband and his brother power of attorney and the solicitor who has been sorting this out for him has also advised that he arrange for them to set up a trustee savings account. My father in law said that he has been all over and no one has these sorts of accounts (to be honest i haven't looked but will start now). Does anyone know if these types of accounts still exist and who do them. Also my husband doesn't have the best credit rating in the world - will this matter when wanting to open such an account?
