Creaky floorboards

Options
I have very creaky floorboards, they look good after sanding and we want to preserve them as they were installed when the house was first built in the 1920s.

Any suggestions as to where I would start or who to ask about making them not creaky anymore? We have rugs, they help. But it's still creak creak creak!

Walk on them. See where they creak. Put in extra screws at that point. Ensuring that there are no pipes or wires that can be damaged. If you put extra fixings in very close to, or in place of, the existing fixings you are unlikely to cause any damage. Check that there are no sections where the boards have been previously removed for installation of wires or heating pipes. If you find any such sections, lift them to check exactly where the pipes or wires are.
with a house that old it is highly likely that floor boards have been removed at some stage. These are the most likely places where the creaking is occurring. It is mostly common sense.
Don't just go banging in new fixings without checking.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
