National Tyres and Autocare ruined my car
Edited just to say, Long time lurker, first time writer. I don't tend to post to forums unless I have something really useful or important to add.
I am still waiting a reply to my complaint to information@national-tyres.co.uk, so in the meantime I would like to share this with any potential customers. My car has been permanently damaged/disfigured as a direct result of poor workmanship and quality control failure at my local branch of National Tyres and Autocare. The wrong exhaust part was installed, which caused melting and mutilation to my rear bumper.
I do have photographic evidence but not able to upload an image link as a newbie.
In addition to an unwanted permanent aesthetic change to my vehicle, I was charged a whopping £375 for labour for the incorrectly installed part. No offer of a refund or compensation, just a hole cut in my bumper. Highly recommend anyone avoid this inept bunch.
Has anyone else had any success with a complaint of this nature, or are they just completely ignorant?

That is the issue with cheaper pattern parts.
They sometimes need tweeking to fit unlike the OE parts that always fit correctly.0 -
Yeah, I do understand that, they did replace it again with one that pointed downwards instead of straight at the bumper. It's just the fact that the chap I took it back to said 'the mechanic should have noticed', but he was the one who assessed the job and signed it off as ok anyway.0

A new bumper will sort that so not a permanent problem. I would not be using emails to make a formal complaint.
Get a quote from a garage of your choice for a new bumper and then send that wth a formal complaint in writing. Have they fitted the correct rear box now?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I think op meant permanent damage to the bumper, not the car. IE can't be repaired, just replaced.0

Its plastic they can do wonders with the right tools. Cut a patch out and plastic weld a new section back into it.
Possibly more cost effective to replace it though.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
