Insurance is cheaper through comparison site than direct? Indicator of renewal costs?

Hi all
I am looking for my first home insurance policy and on confused.com i can get a policy with policy expert for £200 but if i go direct on their website it is £450? :S
is this a good indicator that on the second year it would rocket in price? I do not want to be changing all the time because of some many documents to read what is and is not covered
Thanks

Possibly or the cover provided on the comparison website is inferior?

Insurers and brokers do vary their products and pricing by distribution channel both for new business and renewal.
If you want to maintain cheapest prices you will need to shop around, its rarer that you cannot get a better deal, even if its going back to your existing provider as a new customer.0
