Faulty Wahl shaver

I bought a Wahl Li Ion shaver from Argos at £45, last month and to start with - it was brilliant, a single swipe over my face, left my skin smooth and beard free..
However - it started to lack "torque" and kept jamming - I made sure that it was fully charged and cleaned out - and things got worse and worse, I discovered that "rotating the body" helped - but yesterday - the whole thing packed up - the "drive pin" from the body stopped rotating completely.......
I no longer have the Argos receipt and paid cash/vouchers combination
Is there anything that I can do to get my money back ?

If you no longer have any proof of purchase then you'll be relying on the goodwill of Argos to provide you with a remedy. That may also be true of the manufacturer should you wish to make a warranty claim.

I paid 90% of the cost with vouchers - is there no way that Argos can track a purchase on this date ?
I do have a voucher number....

Here's an idea... ask Argos. ;)

Even if they can trace a purchase that way, they are under no obligation to do so.

But as this is a Consumer Rights board, perhaps the answer I should give is "you have no right to a remedy without proof of purchase".

I have now asked Argos and they tell me that, since I paid for the shaver with vouchers - I simply have to provide the date and that will allow them to trace my purchase - vouchers have individual code numbers on each....
