I bought an iPad from Tesco last July. It's been increasingly poor at recharging and in the last few days won't charge at all.
Do I return it to Tesco or does it go straight back to Apple? I've got the Tesco receipt but not the box.
Thanks

If you have an Apple store reasonably close to you simply make a Genius appointment (via the Apple website, search for your local store I'd guess MK? http://www.apple.com/uk/retail/miltonkeynes/) and then take it to the store with the charger. They will investigate and if it's defective they'll replace it immediately. Don't worry about packaging etc, they won't be interested.
OTOH if you can't get to an Apple store take it with your receipt to Tesco. I've no idea what their process would be beyond that.0 -
Depends on what is easiest and what sort of results you want IME.
When I got my ipod (summer 2010) I thought it was a big slow so I took it back to Tesco.
I took the ipod back to Tesco who swapped it instantly for a new one, the only thing I needed was proof of purchase- they just swapped it there and then, didn't even check it over.
I had issues with the next ipod and took it to Apple as it was playing up again.
Apple's service is fantastic and always served with a smile but I had to book in a few days in advance, I had to queue as they were running late and when they decided it was the ipod at fault they swapped it...for a reconditioned ipod.
So if it's advice and software issues you want, I'd say go to Apple. If you are fairly sure the product at is what's at fault then go back to Tesco.
Hope that helps!0
