I need to look properly but just opened a regular saver with TSB for 5% for a year so thats £3k sorted..... need to look around the site later and see what else I should do with it!

New frost free freezer
New carpets (these are a need really but not a priority need)

My car is also going to cost me about £1000 this year, cambelt service is due which is around £500, insurance is around £300, tax £30ish and then probably new tyres at some point..... I got a puncture Christmas day but Dad paid for that for me.....

So with all of the above thats at least £3/4k just gone like that!

We do want to sell our house too, in an ideal world I would have the house ready to sell in 2017 in time for Maddie starting preschool Sept 2017 but with a toddler and OH working full time plus seeing his kids too plus general life it's probably not going to be until 2018/2019!

Just updated this as had new front door and one sealed unit replaced yesterday.

Only a million more things to do.

Chuffed for you that everything's come through!

Can you still get the TSB classic current accounts that pay 5% on £2K? You have to put in £500 a month (and can take it straight back out) but it's worth it.

I have two of those Becky plus this new regular saver so thats £7k taken care off already. I still need to work out where to put £20k......:eek:

I need to look at switching my current account I think to one with a regular saver that beats what they can give me (4%)...... but I have for some reason become really attached to it. I opened it at the school bank 18 years ago......

ISA rates seem poor so need to look about.....

Just applied for a nationwide flex direct account at 5% for a year, been approved so just have to wait on paperwork.

Need to see if I can upgrade my HSBC account to a HSBC account as can get a 6% regular saver with that.
