Tax on PPI

Has anyone applied to HMRC for tax deducted at 20% from their refund of premiums plus interest ..? If so how prompt are they on paying it back ?

Obviously there are some refunds with no withholding tax and there are time limits hope people are aware of ?

If you are a non taxpayer or, the interest did not take you over your tax code if you work, get in touch and they will refund this.

There will be no interest to get back as you only pay 20%tax on the interest you received.

I am not 100% sure but I don't think there are time limits unless, you have to claim it by the end of the tax year, I could be wrong, where did you hear this?.

Thank you Amersal, I am sending in tax rebate forms covering last three years .
One of my rebates has timed out due to the tax year the others will qualify.
