Hi
My other half is in the RAF and he and him sq has been given some details of the new pension scheme in relation to AVC's, the information given is a little vague on how munch the min and max contributions are and what the actual benefits are, when they were using the pension caculator what was include in the info it was given them very generous amounts for payouts, so they are not sure that they are calculating it correctly and there is is no HR available to chat with. Does anyone fully understand the system
Thanks

Is this the bit with £6,500 in it?
General view is that it _is_ too good to be true, and the calculator is not properly updated.
There's discussion on e-goat and pprune about it. As e-goat is Tango Uniform at the moment, try:

Hope that helps a bit!0 -
i am currently looking inot this and it seems like a very good deal, we have been told 'For some it is worth an extra £14 k lump sum, £2k immediate pension and £4k on state pension for the sake of £6500 from your pocket, which you get tax relief on'
the pension calculator has now been amended for AVCs
here is a link explaining all
