Dell Inspiron Adaptor

My hubby bought a Dell Inspiron PA-16 1200 1300 2200 B130 B120 adaptor on ebay as his original one conked out. Unfortunately he is having some problems with it and would like some advice.

The adapter appeared to be the equivalent to the Dell one which came with the Laptop Inspriron 1000 but for some reason since using it the adapter gets very hot. It works but the screen flickers and the cursor jumps and jerks. Also whle typing not all the letter register all the time. Do you think we should get a replacement or should we replace it with a slightly different type. Your help would be most appreciated.

As the laptop is used for work purposes any help would be appreciated ASAP.

Many thanks for your advice.

off the sounds of it. i would give it back to the ebay guy, as if its getting 'very hot' could easily blow ur USB ports on ur laptop if not more.

not worth it working out diagnostics really if its a work laptop.
