MSE News: Tesco shopper? Beware buying or selling Clubcard vouchers

This has been going on for years, I am surprised its not been mentioned before.

Its become a lot more popular since this article went up, have you seen all the "new listings".

I've watched a few listings when I considered buying a HUDL, it would have put it at half price if I bought the vouchers.

It doesn't stop at Tesco, there are all sorts of codes & vouchers to be bought on eBay!

Accounts are not Joint accounts, you can merge accounts, therefore assume the identity of one out of two accounts, but you cannot have a Join account therefore will not have two names on vouchers. .

There are two names on my Clubcard vouchers and always have been.

That is incorrect.
Customer - Mr & Mrs Smith - have separate clubcard accounts, they wish to amalgamate they points, to make it easier to use the vouchers on line. Mrs Smith already has on-line access with her CC, whilst Mr Smith physically has all his vouchers. Hence, the merger is arranged as Mrs Smith the Main account holder, and Mr Smith the associate card holder.
Within 24 to 48 hours all the vouchers will be able to be used on-line. the following mailing the new vouchers will show both names, and either of them can call about the account, previously they could only discuss their own.
