Payment Date Warning for LTSB

Just received my statement for my Lloyds TSB Platinum card. First they charged me a late payment fee and interest in error (I pay in full each month) chap on the phone agreed that it was bizarre as my payment reached them 6 days before due date and agreed to refund charges and interest.
I noticed that monthly payment date has been brought forward. He tells me that this is new system! My statement was produced on 2nd arrived today 8th and payment has to be cleard by 17th (it has always been end of month before). As I use internet banking not too much of an issue but he agreed that with postal delays and the like lots of customers are not going to get payments in on time. I have had no notification of this change and just wanted to warn others. The chap on the phone said he knows that other banks are changing times between statements and payments also.
Hope this is of use to some one

If you set up direct debits you dont have to worry. Also with Lloyds if you set up a dd and when the statement is produced it will say that if payment is received in another form the dd for that month is not activated.0
