Hi,
We've got virgin media landline, and in the terms and conditions it says the calls are zero rated for the first hour. After that it's charged at 3.25 per minute.
Now DD made a call last night, and didn't hang up properly. We discovered this after over two hours.
The person DD was calling obviously hung up, when the call was finished. But I can't work out if we'll be charged for the time after the first hour or not???
Does the call remain live as DD was the dialler, until we realised? Or was the call terminated when the person the other end hung up?

Yes it does, sorry! The caller controls the line - sometimes a timer may cause a disconnection but for all VM know you were using it as a baby alarm!0

That's how I figured it worked Buzby. Was about 2 1/2 hours
However I asked virgin via Facebook, and they replied.....
I wouldn't image that you'll be charged for any of the time after your relative put the phone down. To check, give us a call on 150 / 0345 454 1111. | Maria-J
I'll call them tomorrow, see what they say. I suppose if we're charged for an extra 90minutes it works out at approx £3. So whilst annoying it shouldn't break the bank should it?0 -
Don't expect to get a reliable answer to a technical point from a company PR agent assigned to cover social media-they may not even work for VM, but be from an external agency.
The phrase 'I wouldn't imagine' means 'I haven't got a clue'...No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Agree macman.
Tbh I might not bother calling tomorrow, as I doubt I'll get the correct answer even then, might just wait the bill.0 -
Look in your online account and it should be shown under 'recent usage'.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
