gcse results lost!

I took them 12years ago and can't for the life of me find them!

Can't find a level results either.

But don't know who the exam board was either! Aqa edexel ring a bell?

All the boards seem to want £38 ish just to print me out a statement of results. This is crazy money, especially since I'd be applying for a few to potentially get back everything but what I need! (surely a sar would be suitable?)

I can't contact the school I went to as it no longer exists!

Anyone know of a solution I may have overlooked?

Can you remember your results? Not many employers will ask for certificates, I'd wait and get them if you actually need them.

Well here's a stroke of luck, following a day of searching high and low I've just found them... In our bloody house folder which I frequent when doing house bills :D

to answer the questions though I do need proof and the school I went to closed down years ago. Now an empty plot of land

Would an Subject Access Request (SAR) be cheaper? £38 seems excessive, just for a printout..

Maybe the local education board may have archives?

I never had to show anyone my GCSE results. I took them back in 1997. Until I did my degree, I listed them individually. Now I write 9 GCSEs B-D (English and Maths C)

Nobody cares about GCSEs so pretty irrelevant having the certificates.

Most jobs I've applied for don't ask for the results and the jobs that do ask for them I just summarise them.

Glad you found them, my mum had mine for many years but I'm quite organised these days so I have them now. Although nobody has ever asked to see them it can be quite useful to refer to them; while I can remember the grades (going back to the original numeric O-level grades I got in 1974) some applications ask for the date of award which isn't something I've memorised.

Why not scan them and keep them on the cloud, eg dropbox etc?

Not true. We often screened candidates on GCSEs, as it shows if they are good at a variety of subjects.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
