Hmm, going back to 2006 & 2013 and it seems you are not the only one having problems! Someone, somewhere is def on the fiddle.

The voucher letter is dated 15/01/2013. My dad tried to use them against an order today, and was told that they'd already been used.

One of my Amazon £30 vouchers isn't working despite the fact I haven't used it until now. It just says "The gift certificate you are attempting to apply to your account has already been redeemed."

I have Amazon vouchers from three different survey companies and all send the codes via email, so using mail is rather odd.

You can understand newspaper codes (eg Daily Mail) having been used, as anyone in a shop could just copy them , but Amazon codes all used by the same person suggests an internal fiddle.

I wouldn't say it was odd - I've had numerous market research Amazon vouchers sent by post, although they were the "gift card" type which required a silver panel to be scratched off to reveal the code.
What is odd is that the OP seems to be stating that these codes were simply printed out with no other security. That IS odd.
