Ok - just to be clear - and it is tricky as you are posting similar things on different parts of the forum -

Each debt can only have one default. If a debt purchase company has bought a debt from a credit card company it should only appear as a default on your file once, and the original default date applies. It is the same debt regardless of who now owns the rights to it. However it often happens that two defaults appear. You can ask Experian and Equifax to query this for you - point out the same default appears twice - it should get corrected.

A default falls off your credit file six years from the default date - end of.

Just because a default has fallen off your file it does not means the debt cannot be pursued. Statute barred only applied where you have made no payment and have not acknowledge the debt for six years. At that six year point no legal action can be taken in court though technically the debt is still owed.

if you are currently paying each debt at £20 per month then there is no way either debt is going to be statute barred. Forget that one.

Bear in mind that if a CCJ is obtained that goes onto your credit file for six years from judgement date. The fact the original default may have dropped off is not relevant to the CCJ entry.
