Can someone please explain why all these PPI claims firms keep on phoning me about my being owed compensation or making a PPI claim?
I have never bought PPI - I always thought it was terrible value and always refused it.
How can any of these firms make any money from me? Are they hoping the banks, CC whatever dont have the records to know I never had PPI?
Is it snouts in the trough or what? I'm Confused

That is what scammers and aggressive marketers do.

They only need around 1 in 20 to sign up. Phone call is cheap. What they take from people is not.

The idiots chasing me stopped when I interrupted their script & asked what was their percentage.

So you can complain to the Information Commissioner - or to the claims company. If you do the latter, they must give a satisfactory response or you can complain to the Legal Ombudsman.

Playing the percentages. Like Dunstonh said it only costs them a matter of pennies to cold call you. If they bother enough people they are likely to get a bite.
