Hi after some advice I have a Nissan Qashqai +2 registered March 2010 we bought it in April 2013 from Nissan Holdcroft. It has 57,759 miles it also has a full service history. The last service was at a local garage not the dealership.
The head gasket has cracked and will cost 3.5k for parts .5k labour. We have gone to Nissan Customer Care to see if they can help will a good will gesture due to age mileage and service history. They say they have changed their policy it's now up to the dealership? The dealership are saying that because the last service was completed at a local garage and he is not VAT registered it doesn't count? Even though he is a licensed mechanic...... What do we do now! Any help gratefully received. Thx

Not sure what you mean by licensed .

Obviously the dealers warranty will not accept non Nissan repairs .

Possible claim under SOGA but its up to you via an independent engineers report to show the damage was due to manufacturing/ or could reasonably been expected to last longer . That could be difficult second owner and 60K .
