  • Good Morning everyone it's dull and cloudy here today but not cold. I think the cloud will clear later so hope for some sunshine to dry the washing which is in the machine now. Had a lovely time with Zebra and co but it's nice to be home again to my Dockling and his dadi and hopefully I now have a good 4 weeks before I'm off again for the summer concert with DD1. It will be good to be back into routine, it seems to have been a fragmented year so far and I want to be here to help with the garden and veg plots, I love seeing everything grow on and mature.

ELONA hoping that today brings you some answers and solutions and that Mr ELONA is made more comfortable and happier as a result. Remember my lovely that we are all with you in this, and you'll never be facing these trials alone, we'll always be there with you in spirit wrapping you all up in love and caring and sending you strength to get through what is a really tough time, chin up pet, Lyn xxx.

    Good Morning Everyone,

Thinking of you Elona and your OH,

I do hope everyone is well if not you have my best wishes.

Another glorious day here it's great for drying the laundry and sitting on the bench outside listening to the birds and the lambs.

My chores list is quite long today as DH finished his DIY project last night so there is lots of dust etc lying on every surface. Then i have my usual chores list. DS is on a day off today so he will do the heavier chores, he really is such a help to me.

Tea tonight is spag bol and garlic bread. Nice and easy.

    Have a great day everyone,

    Regards.

  • Good morning all,

Overcast here today with the promise of brighter later.

WM on at the moment, will go to local greengrocer later to stock up on fruit and salad and I must remember cooking onions. Himself has to eat at least 2 bananas a day for low potassium, and I seem to be buying them about 4 times a week. I can't buy too many at a time because they go brown and he won't eat them then.

ELONA sending you love and hugs and hope DH is more comfortable this morning. I know your DDs will love and support you, but we are also here if you want to talk, sometimes it is easier to talk to people other than face to face. Your DH is a very brave man, he must have wanted so much to be well for your Blessing, and now it is time for him to recover his strength.

  • Morning ((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) if you need one, especially Elona and husband.

A dullish morning, but I have a load of landry to go out. We have a lady comeing from the WRVS this morning to see about betting a be-friender for OH when I am out either at the quilting class or my quilting friends. DD2 is due this afternoon, she is on the countdown to leave her job and start her new one. I have said I will take her to Ruddington and collect her the three days she is there on her induction course.

I now have to start doing some serious de-cluttering, we are hopeful of a place in the accommodation we saw yesterday. I am in a bit of a clet stick, whether to sell the dresser I painted lasy year or the chest unit in the sitting room, just now the dresser is winning. I need to start in the attic, I know there are machine boxes etc up there.

I think the long curtains are also going to have to go, I might put them on Ebay, they are 90 x 90 I used them to close off the dining area in the cottage and for a time at the sitting room window in the flat. cannot use either them or the long green velvet ones here or in the new place, all the radiators are under the windows.

Hey ho, the washer has just finished, need to get it out on the whirly.

    Good Morning OSer's!
Once again i have been absent for quite sometime...thankfully my MoneySaving ways haven't followed!

Nice and sunny in this part of the world! Had a really nice week weather-wise but apparently it is suppose to get miserable by the weekend, typical!

I'm at work at the moment so just a quick post and then on with the daily grind.
Will definately get a load of washing on the line later this afternoon, that should give me an empty washing basket for a day or two.
Off to see my mum for tea as it is her birthday. Lunch is leftover chicken pasta and veggies.
Right, off for a lurk while i enjoy my tea break.
Hugs and well wishes to the poorly, have good days people xx

  • Morning one and all. Another glorious start here but I think it's downhill after today weatherwise. It's been an early bonus, nice to have a warm spell in April.

I am thinking of you and your family today ELONA and really hope that you get better news than you are fearing.

I got my pre-op assessment over and done with yesterday and they must think I am fit enough to survive the anaesthetic as the exploratory op is still on in two weeks! Called at my DB's on the way home for our sausage order. He was out for the day with a mate but SIL made us welcome and we had a good old catch up.

I am enjoying a bit of peace just now before the 3DGDs wake up and run me ragged before it's time for the school run! I made a big dish of Cheesy Bolognese Bake for tea when they came yesterday and every bit was devoured. They have requested sausage and mash for today's tea when they come after swimming but as DD's new chap will be with them I want to do something a bit "posher"!! Better get my thinking cap on! He's a lovely lad though and I'm sure he'd happily eat anything.

Shopping to be done this morning - Aldi* with the £5 voucher and tokens from the Mirror. Mr TA will collect two on his way to school then we'll have another for next week too.

Have a good day all, take care xx

Feel like I have been conned , got the Daily Mirror for the £5 off £40 spent coupon and all that is in it are 10 money off coupons for stuff that I don't or won't buy:mad::mad:

Oh dear TA.i it's a horrible feeling when that happens.

Wood arrived nice and early and I'm just in the process off carrying the bags from the fron door through the house to the back steading. One by one. Got thick gloves and I sit down after every two bags. It's lovely wood which will dry nicely by the autumn. Typically OH is away this week...

It's heavy work and I'm certainly working up a sweat! I want off the front of the house and then will stack the wood.

The fog hasn't burned off yet and I doubt it will today. I'll go into town with all the rubbish / empty nets etc later today or tomorrow.

Hope all's going well sit doctors and hospitals.

I know me too!! I read it on F & G Forum and took it as gospel! Never mind I used 2 vouchers - 50% off dishwashing liquid and 30% off Specially Selected Quarterpounders (will come in handy on the BBQ) so that offset the price of the paper!

  • We got back from shopping to find a bundle of mail on the mat. One from the hospital bringing my exploratory op forward from May 6th to next Wednesday, 29th April. I know it's a week less to worry about what they might find but it's put me in panic mode. I can't sleep at the best of times but I'll be even worse now. I wish I could be like Mr TA who doesn't see the point of worrying and just takes what comes. I worry about anything and everything. x
