Cologne day trip advice please

Ok there a group of us mums with about 40 kids between us looking into going to cologne for the day. We are kids free and want to make the most of a cultural experience there. Any advice what to do and see please tia xx

Trip on the Rhine relaxing.
If you are into Roman history, Cologne was an important Roman city. There is a fascinating museum of Roman life.
