A mortgage without the wife on?

YOUR'RE posts stand out for me as someone who is very angry with the world. I would rather listen to ACG than someone who has nothing whatsoever to offer apart from snipey remarks, if you do not like the forum and its posters do one, you won't be missed.
I'm sorry you feel that way. You're the only person in this thread to have attacked someone and offered no advice to the thread starter. I'm sure you'll agree my post history is reflective of someone who is helpful. I can't say the same about you and your history of trolling.
Anyway, I think the OP has received the advice they came for.0 -
I misread your comment then - assumptions eh! You can add that to my list of downfalls.
As for being on here more than my paid job (which could be directed at me as its probably not a million miles from the truth). I am my own boss, I can pick and choose what I do with my day but I actually come on here to learn from other brokers and other peoples experiences as well as helping where I can.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Landofwood, you attacked someone entirely unnecessarily and then tacked some vague advice onto the end so that your post wasn't completely useless....
At least nubbins post was in response to that, while yours was totally uncalled for.
If someone is posting in txt speak or their writing is so poor as to be incomprehensible, fair enough bring it up - but correcting a single, simple grammar mistake is pointles's and tend's to get others' back's up."You did not pull yourself up by your bootstraps. You were lucky enough to come of age at a time when housing was cheap, welfare was generous, and inflation was high enough to wipe out any debts you acquired. I’m pleased for you, but please stop being so unbearably smug about it."0 -
I don't see what the problem is... as long as everything is declared so it doesn't look like you're doing anything underhand....
My husband is not on my mortgage for our home, and the bank even have all the documentation addressed to Mrs Socksey. It is the marital home and so I can't just go and sell it without signatures etc from him. In our case it was easier this way as he is not resident in the country (he is a British national but working abroad and resident there) so his salary etc was not taken into account for anything. It did reduce the amoutn I could borrow (affordability) as everything needs to be seen to be affordable from my salary even though there is money coming into my account from him for 8 years...
Best thing is probably talk to a broker and a solicitor ... in case the legalities have changed recently etc0 -
Landofwood
Not one but two unprovoked digs at one of the most affable and helpful brokers on here.
Unnecessary.0 -
I think everyone needs to calm down. I did not attack anyone, I advised someone who posts on here as a professional to take more care in how they represent themselves. When did this become such a grave crime?
I can certainly be blunt and upfront, so if anyone has taken offence I apologise. I don't believe ACG was offended or insulted in the slightest.0 -

It's not a crime.
Neither is providing someone with some feedback about their conduct being condescending .0 -

I wasnt (or was not) offended, but it was unnecessary. Im not here taking an English exam, my replies are quick where possible and if I went through all of my posts ensuring everything is grammatically correct I would spend far longer on here than I already do. So long as its understandable by whoever is starting the post that is all that really matters.
D in English GCSE - it was not my strong point but who really cares? People come to me to get a decent mortgage.
So, I am not offended, life goes on and the debating to and fro is not worth it. It is what it is, lets just stick to the main point of the post.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Socksey thankyou for that. Thats interesting, what are your though's on that ACG?
But ACG thanks again for your comments which are always very helpful! I think my problem is that the deposit is building quite nicely and quickly to our target of 10k. But the reason I'm not applying yet is to meet our target and let my CCJ fall of in July.
I will then be left with late payment(x5) which were over where over five years ago on Car Finance. And PDLs, 22 in total, last one in May 12. Everything else is fine and in good order. So what I am trying to do is build a picture of what to do. I really hate my job and want my wife back home so she can start her teaching career. And thats why are total deposit will be about 10k but we will not have a penny debt between us. Guess Im worried that a mortgage cant be place with CR like mine with a 10% deposit & a wife with no income.0
