Solicitor didn't tell court i had paid CCJ

Back in Nov 2009 i was taken to court for £888, after the judgement had been made I struggled to make the payments and missed 2 payments, this resulted in it being passed to a court enforcement officer. In Feb 2010 my fortune changed slightly and i was able to pay it off in full (£1461.95 by now). Ever since then i have found it imposable to get credit of any sort and have had to fight tooth and nail to keep my companies small overdraft because of "My poor credit rating"
I have today just found out that the solicitor for the company that took me to court failed to tell the court that the judgement was satisfied so for all this time it has been shown as "unsatisfied" to say i am unhappy is an understatement, this has cost me money, time and worst of all, countless nights sleep over the last 5 years while I've struggled to keep my business afloat.
I guess what I'm asking is, is there anything i can do in the way of reporting the solicitor or was it just tough on my part. What should i do? and has anyone else had this happen to them.
Thanks Pete

I was in a similar position. Paid a ccj off years ago but still showed as active on current report. Had to get letter off original creditor to send to court for a certificate of satisfaction cost £15. The court then updates the registry to show as satisfied.0

I am afraid that the real damage to your credit was done by getting the CCJ in the first place. The impact of it being 'satisfied' is not that huge. However the good news is that this coming November it will disappear forever0
