Hi, I had a claim rejected last year by clydesdale. I absolutely should have taken it to the ombudsman, but was preparing credit file for mortgage and moving job and... didn't happen. Is there a way for me to reopen this or has this run its course now? Could kick myself, but life took over.

6 months limit unless you had compelling circumstances (such as death in family or illness) that could cover the period
Clydesdale are having a bit of a bad time at the moment for wrongly dealing with claims so you may get lucky and they review itSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Unless you can demonstrate exceptional circumstances which prevented you referring to FOS within the six month time period (e.g. serious ill health) this is generally it I am afraid.0
